This morning I also did a photo shoot of my sister's neighbor, Gianna. (I hope I'm spelling that right!) She's only 4 years old and what a cutie! A lot of the pictures turned out well but as usual, some of my favorites are the unplanned, candid moments.

The Dwyers!
This morning I did a photo shoot of the Dwyers. We were supposed to do some family shots at Mylee's first birthday party but we got rained out. Here's some of my favorites!

The Brannans...
This past Friday I did a photo shoot for the Brannan's... a wonderful family expecting their second child. We shot the portraits right in their front yard, which had a gorgeous view of a lake and moss covered oaks.

The best 100th post ever.
So this is my 100th post on this site and it's to announce one of the greatest nights! I got my first award for art in my professional career! Not only that, but I got BEST OF SHOW!!! I about fell over when they announced it. You can check out the winning piece at Arts on the Park, downtown Lakeland during the month of August. It's the one with the big blue ribbon on it! ha.
They will probably post pictures on the Arts on the Park website of me accepting the ribbon with a stupefied look on my face. I still can't believe it.

First Friday, this Friday!
So this Friday (Aug 7) is the First Friday event downtown Lakeland. The theme is the 'Dog Days of Summer' so if you have a pooch, bring it with you to roam around.
The most exciting thing for me is that I was accepted into the show at Arts on the Park; Long Days of Summer. Look for my black&white photograph titled, Toothpick Carnival. The opening is FREE and from 6-9PM, although I'll only be there about the first hour.
This Friday is also the opening of another show in Tampa, the Emerge! Art Party at the Tampa Artist Emporium on Bay to Bay BLVD. I have two photographs in that show as well! (It's FREE and from 7-10PM)
My friends, the Dark Romantics, are also having a concert at Hard Rock this Friday night in Orlando. So whether your in Orlando, Lakeland or Tampa, Friday is going to be a great night!
