It's way late...

So I'm only posting a few sentences. 

I am headed to California in a few days and I'm equally excited to get some new photo opportunities and some R&R. This week is a huge rush of work to get done before I leave. Needless to say, Thursday morning I will be UNPLUGGED and oh, so very happy.

I'm wondering how fast I can get carpal tunnel from working on the computer for 12 hours a day. (Today is going on hour 14.)

Jewelry making is completely fun. I have some more ideas, more goodies to get and things to make. I want to do a photo shoot with some models and then debut it all. If it turns out like I think it will, it will be sweeeeet.

new ventures

I've been talking about lots of new ventures lately. Today I bought some supplies and I'm making some jewelry. It's really fun, whimsical stuff. Once I have enough together I'm going to make my debut and put it up for sale. Get ready for it. =)

April old snaps bring purple boots.

So it's been chilly yesterday and today. Jason and I walked the lake last night and it was deserted! I think the drop in temperature and blowing wind scared everyone off. Besides needing some ear muffs, it was a gorgeous walk and the dogs got some much needed exercise. Today I decided would be the debut of my new purple boots. I bought them when they went on sale this spring and thought I wouldn't be able to wear them until the fall, but surprise! It's cold out. (Now when I say 'cold' I live in Florida. Cold = Less than 70 degrees). I think they are making me more creative. What artist shouldn't have a pair of purple boots?

my eyes are crossing from staring at the computer screen. 

I've been working on web modules all day. Along with business cards and images for Good Friday. I'm looking forward to my walk tonight when I can feel the breeze and see the sunlight. 

prayer was good this morning though. I painted a picture and yelled at God for a while. He told me he didn't mind.

April Showers bring May...

So I haven't really posted in a while. That's because things haven't been all roses and I didn't want to just get on blogger and vent. (I did enough of that to my friends). I will only say:

1) Old people in Lake Wales suck.

2) Cleetus - I'm sorry I hit you with my car.

3) Wind and rain, you suck.

4) Career - why won't you get off the ground already?

That oughta do it.

Anyway, after scheduling conflicts we have an artgroup finally scheduled for Wednesday. I'm trying to organize us all doing a mural for LRMC but artists and schedules are like oil and water. This is how I know I'm not a true 100% artist. I love lists and organization and calendars. I also check my email. blerg.

One thing that has been happening lately is that people are telling me about all kinds of sweet websites. Like www.threadless.com where I can upload t-shirt designs and get $ for them. And www.creativemyk.com that you can post your work, critique others and get feedback. And you even use wordpress.com to make some pretty sweet websites for free. (sorry blogspot). Anyhoo - I'm wondering what chat room these people go to that they find all this sweet stuff out at. Maybe its on twitter, which i refuse to go to. I will not tweet. or twit. or whatever the hell they call it. I have to draw the line somewhere! (ps. I found it HILArious when on the today show Stephen Colbert said that he has "twatted" to Meredith Viera. Watch it at www.huffingtonpost.com)
