Lilly is -almost- one!

First of all, I am an editing ninja to get these up so fast. But I'm super excited about them and the cuteness is almost overwhelming. My life-friend/cousin Sara has a baby, Lilly that is almost one year old. It's pretty sweet because Lilly's due date is my due date with Autumn so they'll be almost exactly a year apart. We've already decided that they are going to be bff and we'll have picnics and play dates with them at the park.

For their family session we went to Leu Gardens in Orlando. What a gorgeous place! I wish we had all day to spend there (with a temperature of about 20 degrees less)... but really beautiful for photos. Loved it!

Lilly didn't like the grass on her feet. :)

love. love. love.

Graphic Design projects...

So lately I've been designing some fun invitations and thought I'd share. I've been inspired by the Oh So Beautiful Paper blog and 100 Layer Cake blog to do some pretty graphic invites.

The first one was for my own baby shower. (don't laugh!) But my mom and I wanted a bird theme and so many baby shower invitations are so ugly. Sorry hallmark, but they are. So we designed our own. I printed them on a metallic linen paper (the same as our christmas card) and they were sent out with a white feather in the envelope. Love! The best part was my mom took them to the cake decorator and had a cake made to match them.

The other invitation I have designed recently is a nautical inspired baby shower invitation for my friend, Mary. She's having a boy and her husband has nautical tattoos that we're told have a lot of significant meaning and the theme spring-boarded from that and has really taken shape. I really love these invites and I'm so glad that Mary likes them just as much. These were printed on a thick white cardstock paper.

First Friday randomness...

So each first Friday of the month our city does an event downtown. All the shops stay open late, the galleries have show receptions, there's stuff for kids to do and a theme. This last one was a bike theme so there were stunt bikers in the streets, people biking from end to end and all kinds of crazy old bikes as well. I decided to snap some photos of the fun and post them, so enjoy!

Kaitlyn's Senior Portraits

Thursday I photographed Kaitlyn at the Circle B Bar Reserve. I have no idea why I haven't photographed here before. Tall grasses, fallen trees, mossy oaks and ponds... it's so fantastic! Kaitlyn wanted a "woodsy" look so that's what we did. Here are some of my favorites...
